I am sure you are asking why the LEAF is better than the other fitness trackers on the market…Well let’s check out their press release!

LEAF

The LEAF by Bellabeat makes a big comeback adding a new color and fresh features to the app

After selling over 40,000 pieces of one of the most wish-listed health trackers on the market, Bellabeat is announcing some exciting news for all wearables enthusiasts on September 15. The LEAF is back in stock and is now available in two different colors – Silver and Rose Gold.

“So far, we have collected over 16,000 hours of breathing, 4,352,231 hours of sleep, 11,429,400 hours of activity, and around 180,000,000 period logs generated by our users. This user data lets us improve the firmware of the LEAF and the algorithms behind the LEAF app, allowing us to give personalized insights and customized advice to our users” – says Sandro Mur, company’s CEO.

NEW LEAF APP FEATURES

1. Different activity tracking

The new rose gold color is not the only new exciting thing about the LEAF – the company, well-known for their open communication with the users, added interesting new features to the app based on user feedback generated from the Bellabeat community, making sure the LEAF is even better tailored to fit the user’s needs and give them an enriched experience with the world’s smartest piece of jewelry. From now on, users will be able to manually switch between different activities recognized by the LEAF, such as running, swimming, cycling, yoga, tennis and many more, giving an even better overview of their daily movement and calorie spending.

2. Breath tracking during sleep hours helps understand sleep patterns better

The extensive amount of data lead to a new feature within the LEAF app – it is now able to measure breathing during periods of restless sleep, and help the user better understand why such periods occur in the first place.
The LEAF creates a correlation between sleep, activity, breathing and menstrual cycle, which allows the app to generate customized data backed advice cards, helping the user regain their physical and emotional wellbeing.

LEAF by Bellabeat

Ever since it’s debut in late fall of 2014, the LEAF has been an instant hit among women who want to take care of their bodies. Designed by a woman – for women, the LEAF does everything a health tracker should do, and then some:

    • Measures sleep – the LEAF logs sleep quality and quantity, giving the user insight into the number of hours and percentage quality of sleep. The charts within the app let the user compare their periods of light sleep and deep sleep, allowing them to identify what type of day or activity leads to a better night’s sleep.
    • Tracks activity – measures daily movement, burned calories and allows the user to set daily goals to keep them motivated. The app will also let users enter specific sports and activities, giving a detailed overview of their movement throughout the day – feature available end of September 2015.
    • Monitors reproductive health – gives a detailed overview of the user’s menstrual cycle and helps women trying to conceive to identify ovulation days and increase their chances of successful conception. By cross-referencing daily activity in the LEAF app with their menstrual cycle, women are able to better understand their health trends during this specific time. The period part of the app is equipped with witty notes designed to brighten up the user during PMS times.
    • Reduces stress – the built-in breathing exercises help the LEAF user cope with stress. By cross-referencing the breathing data with the amount of stress the user might be feeling, the LEAF allows the user to learn which breathing exercises help minimize stress.
  • Keeps things on schedule – the smart alarm feature within the LEAF app lets the user set reminders for things like taking their pill on time or getting tampons, there’s the wake up alarm option and an inactivity alert that warns the user if they’ve been inactive for too long.

“The problem with most health trackers out there today is the fact that you can spot them from a mile away – one look at the robust, rubber bands and you know you’re looking at a piece of wearable technology before asking a single question. When we first started thinking about the LEAF, we didn’t want it to just be a good health tracker— we wanted it to be beautiful, as well.” – says Urška Sršen, CO-founder of Bellabeat.

“The first batch of 20K units sold-out almost immediately, while the second batch of 20K followed the same scenario and the waiting list for the third batch is some 200K women strong” – says Morena Simatic, company’s CFO, revealing the company has very big plans for the future:

“The interest in the LEAF has been amazing since day one and we’re extremely pleased with our constantly growing community. We already have successful partnerships with retailers such as Amazon, Target, BestBuy and Fancy, and the next step is to go global. Our first destination is the European market, starting with UK and Germany and by this time next year, the LEAF will be available in retail stores world-wide” – adds Simatic.

The third batch of the LEAF features the Silver LEAF which has become a classic with the early bird adopters and a newly designed Rose Gold LEAF. The Silver LEAF goes for USD129, while the Rose Gold LEAF will set you back an extra 20 dollars and is available on their website for USD149. The company also gives an exclusive discount to all their early supporters who own the Silver LEAF and want the Rose Gold one, as well.

Lipogaine Premium Hair Loss Prevention shampoo

DSCN4102Before

The picture above was taken shortly after getting my hair cut and styled at a salon. Even with all the great products that the salon has, my hair still looks lifeless and limp. I have always been jealous of the women that have thick, bouncy hair. I don’t have to be jealous anymore….Let me introduce you to Lipogaine Premium Hair Loss Prevention Shampoo.

after

As you can see in the after photo, my hair has bounce and looks amazing. I owe it all to this shampoo. I will admit that part of the reason my hair looked so blah in the before photo is due to various health issues that cause me to have thin and limp hair. Now, Lipogaine Premium Hair Loss Prevention Shampoo has helped battle the hair loss caused by those issues.

If you have always wanted fabulous hair, I say go buy a bottle of this shampoo. Try it for yourself and see how amazing your hair can look. You can buy the shampoo on Amazon here.

As always all opinions in a review post are mine and mine alone. I did receive my bottle of Lipogaine Premium Hair Loss Prevention Shampoo in exchange for my honest review.

This post kicks off my 2015 Holiday Gift Guide!

This post is all about the amazing WineCubby Portable Wine Bag! I have to say I am totally in love with this product. Now I can, thanks to the WineCubby!

ClearBrights Microfiber Cloths for lenses & screen

I recently got the chance to review the microfiber clothes from ClearBrights. These cloths are amazing. I have found the only lens cleaning cloths for me. I love how they are a good size, can be folded into a smaller square to carry in your purse, and are washable. WP_20151007_22_12_46_ProThey can be used to clean your glasses, computer screens, tablets, cell phones, etc. When they are dirty you just toss them into the washer. They don’t leave lint either. These cloths clean better than the moist ones you can get at most retailers.

They can be purchased on Amazon here.

As always, all views expressed in a product review are mine and mine alone. I did receive these cloths free in exchange of my honest opinion.

My life, in a nut shell

I started this blog to do product reviews. However, life decided to throw me a curve ball shortly after I started blogging. I got sicker than I normally do when the kids are in school. I actually got the flu, which doesn’t usually happen with me.  It was a signal that something was up. I had already been dealing with issues that I thought might had been Lupus, but the doctor ruled that out just 8 months prior to me getting the flu.

Fast forward a month or so and I found a doctor that would actually listen to me. He diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia. It was nice to know I wasn’t crazy. (Well crazier than normal) It felt good to finally figure out what was going on with my body, and why I was constantly run down. I had blood work done at that time to check a few other things. I went a few months later and the doctor told me that my white cell count had been high and wanted to see if it was a fluke or if it was still high. Well the new test showed it was still high, so off to a specialist I go.

In the month leading up to seeing the hematologist, I of course did the one thing no one should do when they aren’t sure what is going on with their body, I turned to Dr. Google. Looking at most of my symptoms and how I felt I was sure it was leukemia, just my white cell count wasn’t really in range with cancer. I did get the good news when I went to the hematologist that it wasn’t cancer, but they had no clue what was going on. I was back to square one it felt like. I now have to wait until January, 2016 to see a rheumatologist. I am not going on Dr. Google though.

At the end of August, I still wasn’t feeling myself and knew something still wasn’t right (besides the screwed up white cell count) and my family doctor referred me to an OB/GYN. I have to say that the PA I seen there has been a God send. She has figured out more of what is going on with my body than all the other doctors combined. I still have a lot of things that are unknown, but to know that I am on the path to figure it out is a blessing.

Now I’m sure you are wondering how this post fits into my blog as it has been….Well like I said in the post before this one, I am totally revamping my blog. I am going to still do product reviews, but I am going to be picky about what I do. I want products that are going to help me live a healthier lifestyle, or that I feel are a good fit for what I want this blog to turn into. I hope to continue to grow my readers, share my health struggles, and maybe even make a few new friends. Please feel free to comment, follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

Blog Revamp

Over the next few weeks I am going to be doing a total revamp on the blog. I have lots of changes coming and super excited about them. I am going to still be posting to social media while I redo my blog. Adamia Therapeutic Repair Lotion Review

Adamia Therapeutic Repair Lotion has been utilized effectively for years in healthcare facilities in Australia.   For those who suffer the daily, unrelenting pain of dry, red, cracked, distressed skin proven relief is finally here.  This proven product, tested in healthcare facilities, has harnessed the natural healing powers only found in the oil of the macadamia nut.  This natural ingredient mimics the oils found in human skin and naturally replenishes essential oils to distressed skin, penetrating hurting skin to repair, restore, and renew it.

My youngest suffers from eczema and my skin is always dry and itchy. I knew when I seen the Adamia Therapeutic Repair Lotion that I would try it to see if it worked. I only blog about what I really believe in, this I support 110%. This lotion is amazing. It helps my dry itchy skin, and my son doesn’t have as many issues with his eczema. I highly recommend this lotion to anyone that needs to find relief.

The lotion can be found online here.

I received the Adamia Theraputic Repair Lotion in exchange for my honest review.

Hot Pink iPhone 6 (4.7) Armband Review

One way I found to make sure I exercise more is to listen to music while I’m working out.  It is easy to do it while I am at home. Not so easy when I walk. That is until I found the Hot Pink iPhone 6 Armband.

armband

It is adjustable so that is a major plus in my book. It also has a slot for a key, or a little cash. This is perfect for those that are on the go. Since I am training for my first 5k, as well as wanting to lose weight, this armband is a major blessing! I do not know how I would get through my evening walks without it.

It can be found online here.

I received the hot pink iphone 6 armband in exchange for my honest review.

24 Ct. Hot Chocolate For Keurig K Cup Type Brewers Review

I know I said that this week was going to be all products to help you lose weight, I can’t pass up a chance to tell y’all about this totally awesome hot chocolate.

Now I know most of you are probably going “wait isn’t it the wrong time of year for hot chocolate?” and you would be right. However, I am the type of person that likes hot chocolate all year round. Some times instead of my usual cup of coffee I will go for a cup of hot chocolate.

I like that this brand of hot chocolate is all natural. Made in the U.S.A. with all natural ingredients including pure cane sugar, non-fat dry milk, cocoa, whey, natural flavor, salt, locust bean gum and stevia. It taste amazing! It is a nice, creamy hot chocolate. I normally add extra sugar to my hot chocolate but I didn’t with this 🙂 Always a plus if you can cut back on sugar.

You can find it here.

I did receive this hot chocolate for free in exchange for my honest opinion. Regardless I only promote items I believe in.

ScorchedRX Premium Jump Rope Review

The 2nd fitness thing I am going to post about this week is the SchorchedRX Premium Jump Rope.

Let me say starting out doing this review I felt like a huge goof. I loved jumping rope as a child, however it has been almost 20 years since I have jumped rope. To say I was out of practice was an understatement. I am just glad I didn’t have to do a video review for this one.

The jump rope its self wasn’t the issue. It is an amazing quality, and I would recommend it for anyone looking into adding jump rope to their cardio. It is nice and long for those tall people, but not too long that it gets tangled if you are short like me. I actually had a blast using this jump rope.

It is nice, high quality, and well made. The handles screwed into place to make it easier. It is perfect for wanting to work up a sweat.

It can be found on amazon.com here.

I did receive this jump rope for free in exchange for my honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products I believe in.
